ENDOCRINOLOGY. ENDOCRINE SYSTEM. ENDOCRINE GLAND. HORMONE





"Normally a girl enters the puberty age by undergoing through different developmental stages. For instance, teenage girls experience mood swings especially during the onset of menstruation which is evident every month for those with regular cycle. Another major event of a girl in becoming a lady would include enlargement of the breast along with the widening of the hips. The one responsible for these changes is the HORMONE."


ENDOCRINOLOGY


Endocrinology is a branch of science that deals with the study of the endocrine system. Endocrine system is consist of different glands wherein each gland produces specific hormone. These hormone travels in the bloodstream and play specific task in the body like in the reproduction, development, and growth.

These are the following GLANDS that comprise the Endocrine system:
The Endocrine System
  • Hypothalamus
  • Pituitary gland
  • Parathyroid gland
  • Thyroid gland
  • Adrenal glands
  • Pancreas
  • Ovaries (in female body)
  • Testes (in male body)


Hormones act as a chemical messenger between cells. It is produce by a specific gland of the body but it elicits an action on the other organ. It only targets the cell that has the compatible receptor so that it can be activated and play the specific task.

                                     Thanks to hormone because without it, there's no US!
